About Us - Profile

In 1953, brothers Nicholas and Stephan Leonoudakis opened their first parking lot in the area of the city now known as the Embarcadero Center. With determination and long hours, that first lot grew to become the Bay Area’s largest and most respected parking management company – City Park.

As the business grew, so did the level of expertise and the size of the projects undertaken. And, in 1975, City Park added SFO Shuttle to its operations.

Initially serving only San Francisco Airport’s long-term and employee parking, SFO Shuttle now employs over 250 people and serves a diverse clientele across the Bay Area.

In 1995, SFO Shuttle took on its next big client, the city of Emeryville. We still provide this municipality with the Emery-Go-Round shuttle service, and it is a major success for the city. In 2003, SFO Shuttle added Oakland Airport and Stanford University to its client list. Then, in 2005, SFO Hotel Shuttle began operations, serving SFO airport’s many busy neighboring hotels.

Now, SFO Shuttle has a second generation at the helm of the family business. This transition, many years in the making, has been carefully planned and executed to ensure that our business – and our commitment to our customers – continues to grow. Although these new leaders have advanced degrees and world-class business acumen, each of them has spent time parking cars and tending lots, and has first-hand experience in all aspects of the business. Each of them takes pride in the ownership of a family business. And each of them is dedicated to continuing the traditions of integrity and trust their predecessors have built.

Today, we know that SFO Shuttle’s 50-year history is only a beginning and that the future holds more success and growth.
